Trauma-Informed
Therapy for
High-Achieving Women

VIRTUAL THERAPY | TEXAS RESIDENTS | SELF-PAY

You're in the right place if you are:

You're the one everyone calls when things fall apart. You hold it together at work, at home, in public and then spend the drive home wondering why you feel so empty when your life looks so full.

You're not broken. You're burned out. And you've been doing it alone for way too long.

This is not the kind of therapy where you talk for 50 minutes and leave feeling like you said a lot but nothing moved. We do the real work here.

Women I Work With are:

✦  Experiencing high-functioning anxiety or depression that no one around them would guess

✦  Burned out from over-functioning for everyone else while neglecting themselves

✦  Navigating major life transitions like career shifts, relationship changes, identity questions, loss

✦  Carrying grief, trauma, or relationship stress that's never had a real space to land

✦  Living under the Strong Black Woman schema and exhausted by the performance of it

✦  Self-aware and ready to go deeper than they've gone before

✦  Done with surface-level validation and ready for real accountability

✦  High-achieving woman who've been strong for everyone else and are finally ready to be held

My therapeutic APproach

My approach is direct, culturally grounded, and collaborative. I'm not going to sit quietly and nod for 50 minutes.

I'll ask the question that cuts through, offer the perspective you haven't considered, and hold you accountable with warmth, not pressure.

I blend Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (T-CBT), solution-focused techniques, and culturally responsive care — which is a clinical way of saying: we look at the patterns driving your thoughts and behaviors, identify what's actually working and what isn't, and build strategies rooted in who you are, not a generic model that ignores the world you live in.

I don't do comfortable and stuck. I do honest and moving.

Sessions are collaborative. You bring the lived experience and I bring the clinical lens, the direct questions, and the perspective you might not have considered. I'll meet you with warmth. I'll also hold you accountable. Both things are true, and both things are necessary.

I work well with clients who are dealing with anxiety, depression, burnout, life transitions, grief, relationship stress, and identity challenges — particularly high-achieving women who are long overdue for someone to stop asking how they can help everyone else and start asking how they're really doing.

What to Expect During the first session

The first session is not a quiz. You won't walk out with a diagnosis or a 10-step plan. What you will walk out with is the beginning of something.

We'll spend our time getting to know each other. I'll ask about what brought you here, what's been weighing on you, and what you're hoping therapy actually does for your life — not just your symptoms. I want to understand your world, not just your presenting problem.

You don't have to have it all figured out before you show up. You don't need the right words. You just have to show up honestly. I'll take it from there.

By the end of our first session, you'll know whether we're a good fit, what we might focus on together, and what working with me actually feels like. My goal is that you leave feeling heard, maybe for the first time in a long time.

Making Therapy More Accessible

Here are options that may help reduce your out-of-pocket cost:

✦  HSA/FSA: Therapy is a qualified expense. If you have a Health Savings Account or Flexible Spending Account, you can use those pre-tax funds to pay for sessions.

✦  Superbill: If you have a PPO insurance plan, I can provide a monthly superbill  which is a detailed receipt with clinical codes your insurance needs that you submit directly for potential out-of-network reimbursement. I recommend calling your insurance member services line to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits before we begin.

✦  Loveland Foundation Therapy Vouchers: The Loveland Foundation provides therapy vouchers specifically for Black women and girls. 12 vouchers are awarded to recipients that cover up to $120 of out-of-pocket cost. These are NOT income-based. Apply at: lovelandfoundation.org/loveland-therapy-fund
